This is from the Spanish word cochina, meaning “filthy pig,” and is used to condescendingly refer to a dirty-looking or slovenly woman or girl.
It is no longer that commonly used or even recognized, due to the passage of over a century since the colonial period when Spanish-derived vocabulary was predominant.
The male equivalent is kutsino.
