TPP11

The term TPP 11 in the news refers to the remaining 11 members of the The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) after the United States left in January 2017.

The trade agreement is now between the countries of Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, and Vietnam.

A final agreement was drafted in October 2015, made public in November 2015, and signed in February 2016 in Auckland, New Zealand, concluding seven years of negotiations.

With the United States, it would have been the largest regional trade agreement in history.
