KONG

The word kong is a form of ko (my, I).

Mahal Kong Ama
My Dear Father

Mahal Kong Itay
My Dear Dad

ang bayan kong maganda
my beautiful country

ang aso kong mabait
my nice, well-behaved dog

ang bago kong kotse
my new car

ang luma kong sapatos
my old shoes

In conversation, the word akong sometimes comes out shortened like kong.

Wala akong problema. => Wala kong problema.
I don’t have a problem.
