Writing a Love Letter in Tagalog

write a love letter in Tagalog

Exchanging love notes is a cherished tradition in Filipino courtship. A written profession of love is “proof” more solid than words spoken into the air.

The salutation of a letter in Tagalog, whether a love letter or business correspondence:

Mahal kong _________,
(My) Dear __________,

Mahal kong Teresa,
My dear Teresa,

Mahal kong asawa,
My dear husband
= My dear wife

TO CLOSE A LETTER:

Nagmamahal,
With love,

Laging nagmamahal,
Always with love,

Nagmamahal sa iyo,
Loving you,

Laging nagmamahal sa iyo,
Always loving you,

Ingat ka lagi,
Always take care,

Laging kang iniisip,
Always thinking of you,
