Taliba is a popular name for Filipino newspapers. For example, People’s Taliba is one of largest tabloids in the Philippines.
Taliba ng Bayan (variously translated as Herald of the Country and People’s Guardian) was a militant publication during the Marcos dictatorship.
TANIW stands for Taliba ng Inang Wika (Sentinel of the Mother Language). It was an organization founded in 1952 by Lope K. Santos, who has been called the Father of the Philippine National Language.
