SINTONES (Tagalog)

There are many different citrus fruits in the Philippines. The same or variations of one word can refer to more than one species. For example, what is called sinturis in Batangas province may refer to a slightly different fruit in the next province over.

The most widely used citrus fruit in the Philippines is the calamansi / kalamansi. It is small and very round, and has a thin green rind.
