Robert Macasi was born on January 17, 1976. He graduated from California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo) with a bachelor’s of science degree in industrial engineering. He had a seven-year stint at Boeing, followed by four years at Lockheed Martin. In May 24, he started work as a Senior Principal Industrial Engineer at Northrop Grumman.

His unfortunate demise happened on June 25, a Tuesday. A bullet from a gun fatally pierced his chest.

Marleen Navarro was assigned by the Department of Medical Examiner to investigate the circumstances of his death. She and the forensic pathologist Dr. Vadims Poukens have so far been unable to determine if his death was a suicide or an accident.
