This is a Philippine English term for “photobomb.” Barely anyone uses it, though it was somehow selected by the so-called language experts as the word of the year for 2016.
To photobomb is to spoil a photograph of (a person or thing) by unexpectedly appearing in the camera’s field of view as the picture is taken, typically as a prank or practical joke.
The term ‘photobomb’ is a result of the blending and clipping of the words ‘photography’ and ‘bomb’. The word makes use of the negative connotation that ‘bomb’ carries and places it in the context of the realm of photography.
