This is a very obscure Tagalog word that almost no typical Filipino would recognize.
It is reportedly used in the Batangas area. The word kabtol has been defined in English as “switch,” “exchange” or “interchange.”
Nagkabtol sila ng upuan.
They exchanged seats.
= They switched seats.
The word has also been used as a Tagalog translation for a light switch.
