Filipino Choir Wins Gold in Rome

Gold Diplomas at the 8th Musica Eterna Roma

Nanalo ang isang Pilipinong grupo ng mang-aawit sa naganap na tagisan sa Roma, Italia. May labing-anim (16) na grupo ng mang-aawit mula sa iba’t-ibang panig ng daigdig ang nakilahok sa kumpetisyon na nagtagal ng apat na araw.

Kammerchor Manila, a church-based choir comprising thirty-five (35) young professionals from the Philippines received Gold Diplomas in the Mixed Choir, Musica Sacra-Mixed Choir and Gospel and Spiritual categories during the 8th edition of the Musica Eterna Roma International Choir and Festival Competition held from July 05 to 09 in the Church of the Twelve Apostles in Rome, Italy.

Aside from winning the Mixed Choir category, Kammerchor Manila qualified along with four other choirs for the grand prize competition.

The Philippine Embassy in Rome, Italy, lead by Ambassador Domingo P. Nolasco showed its support and encouragement to the Filipino participants. During the awarding ceremony, Ambassador Nolasco presented the gold diplomas awarded to Kammerchor Manila.

Musica Eterna Roma is organized by the Meeting Music Organization and the International Choral Festival Network held annually in Rome. A total of 16 international choirs competed in different categories this year.
