Eduard Folayang grew up in extreme poverty in the Philippines. He was one of 11 children and his parents worked many odd jobs just to put food on the table. Five of Eduard’s siblings died because the family had no access to health care and basic necessities. Eduard survived and discovered the martial art of Wushu, which is immensely popular in Baguio City where he’s from. Eventually, his talent soared and today he is a Philippine martial arts icon, and a former world champion beloved by his people.
