The word “approachening” became widely mentioned on the interwebs after some dimwit from New York used it in March 2019. She meant “approaching” and she intended it for the phrase “approaching infinite resources” (whatever that means).
Prior to its popularity, the word “approachening” had been used a few times on Twitter — the earliest tweet was from July 7, 2010, as the jocular subtitle of a video shared by user @hobbesdream.
