Isang uri ng ibong panggabi na tumitiktik.

In Philippine folklore, there is a nocturnal bird called tiktik, which is a spotter for a creature called aswang. When you hear the bird making a “tik tik” sound, it means you should start running because its master is nearby and is coming to devour you.


A pseudonym of Filipino patriot José Turiano Santiago (1875 – 1942), who was among the leaders of the Katipunan that sparked the Philippine Revolution, was reportedly Tik Tik.

  1. I heard tiktik, sound like bird ticking in my window at night between 7:30 to 8:00pm.
    It does not bother me for the first tome or second but for 3rd or 4th night, it scared me last night. I woke up 10minutes till 12midnigjt and can’t go sleep and attck me with fear.
    It’s weird.
    I told my husband in the morning, and he knows when it happens at night.
