Tia Carrere acted regularly on television as “Jade Soong” on General Hospital and as guest on Quantum Leap and MacGyver. She became more famous for her role as Cassandra Wong in the movies Wayne’s World (1992) and Wayne’s World 2 (1993). She also starred as Sydney Fox on the TV series Relic Hunter. Her other movie roles: the voice of Nani in Lilo & Stitch (2002), Jingo Asakuma in Rising Sun (1993), Loot in Back in the Day (2005)

A contestant on the second season of the popular reality show Dancing with the Stars in 2006, Tia Carrer placed sixth in the competition overall.

Posed nude for the January 2003 issue of Playboy magazine. It was the bestselling issue of Playboy in 2003.

Tia Carrere says she’s of Chinese, Spanish and Filipino heritage. She currently lives in Los Angeles.

MUSIC CAREER

1993    –    first solo album Dream went platinum in Mexico

1993    –    featured on the soundtrack of Batman: Mask of the Phantasm
sang the ending theme, “I Never Even Told You”

2007    –    second album Hawaiiana
– nominated for a 2008 Grammy in the category Best Hawaiian Music Album

2009          Won a Grammy Award in 2009 for Best Hawaiian Music Album!
