Scientific name: Ocimum sanctum
Solasi is a branching herbaceous, hairy and aromatic plant.
Filipino herbalists use solasi to treat earaches. Crush the leaves to express the juice. Apply a drop or two into the ear canal.
It can also be used as a purgative. Drink the juice extract.
For dysmenorrhea, boil the roots in water and drink as needed.
