mamilipit: to writhe, squirm, convulse

namimilipit: is writhing, squirming, convulsing

pilipit: twisty, awry, contorted

There is also a braided or twist-shaped pastry in the Philippines called pilipit or pinilipit. It’s quite hard on the teeth and requires some strength from your incisors and jaw. The robust crunch is the absolute opposite of the softness of the similar-looking siyakoy.
