Parojinog is the surname of the Ozamis City mayor who was killed in a drug raid conducted by the Philippine National Police in the early hours of July 30, 2017.
Mayor Reynaldo “Aldong” O. Parojinog and his wife first lady Susan Parojinog died as a result of the raid on his house. Board member Octavio Parojinog Jr., as well two staff members of Lumad TV, also died.

Vice Mayor Nova Princess Parojinog Echaves of the Liberal Party was arrested and the next day was arraigned in Manila.
The Parojinog family have previously been named by President Rodrigo Duterte as among the leading drug kingpins in Mindanao, allegedly part of the Kuratong Baleleng group, whose most notorious member currently is the drug lord Herbert Colangco, boyfriend of Vice Mayor Nova Echaves.
Nova Princess had just been granted an annulment of her marriage to former basketball player Edgar Echavez, who played for the Ginebra Kings in the Philippine Basketball Association. He is now the chairman of Barangay San Antonio in the city.
The Colangco Group continues to be the primary drug movers from inside the New Bilibid Prison.
