Official Holidays in the Philippines 2020

Proclamation 845 signed by President Rodrigo Duterte lists the following dates as regular holidays and non-working days for the year 2020:

To be announced are the exact dates for observing Eidul Fitr and Eidul Adha. Eid al-Fitr is in May, while Eid al-Adha will be in July.

The Philippine government will later issue a separate announcement for national holidays in observance of Eidul Fitr and Eidul Adha in accordance with the Islamic calendar or the lunar calendar.

“The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos shall inform the Office of the President the actual dates on which these holidays shall respectively fall,” the proclamation reads.

Labor laws require employers to grant additional pay for employees tasked to render hours of work on regular holidays and special non-working holidays.
