The Tagalog abbreviation n.h. is short for ng hapon.

“of the afternoon” = in the afternoon
“of the afternoon” = in the afternoon
This is the close in meaning to the English p.m. or PM (post meridiem) except that it’s for before dark only and not at noon either. To say PM when it’s noon, use nt for ng tanghali (at noon) and to say PM when it’s dark, use ng (ng gabi).
