The NDRRMC is the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council of the Philippines. It is a government office based in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.
NDRRMC is more known for being responsible for sending government alerts via text messages to Filipinos’ phones. This occurs even during the hours before heavy rainfall is expected. It’s not unusual to see three alerts in the space of an hour.
It provokes in people the same gamut of reactions as AMBER alerts in California.
