In brief text messages and on social media, me (pronounced “meh”) can be short for the Tagalog may or mayroon.
Me ginawa k b?
Did u do something?
Unrelated to the above, the English word “me” can be translated by itself as sa akin.
Ito ba ay para sa akin?
Is this for me?
Depending on the context, however, this equivalence may not work.
Mahal mo ba ako?
Do you love me?
Pakainin mo ako.
Feed me.
In these two examples, the “me” is ako (“I”).
