Maskobado… Maskubado… A spelling variation on muscovado.
There is a sugar product being marketed by Alter Trade called Mascobado (TM).
According to the company, the “mascobado” process includes no refining. The sugar contains molasses and retains the flavor of sugarcane and other ingredients, “tasing sweet and light at the same time.”
It comes in 250-gram packs and can be used as raw or unrefined cane sugar in baked goods and pastries.
