Ang Magtabim ay Di Biro ay isa sa mga kanta ng zarzuela na ginawa ni Jose Tuason ng Balanga Bataan nuong early 1900’s. Ginawa ang zarzuela sa Navotas at ang pamagat ay “Mga Siniphayo ng Dahas ng Pagsinta”. Ito ay hindi kanta para sa mga bata. Lagi lang kinakanta sa paaralan ng elementarya kaya sumikat at naging “children’s folk song”.Si Jose Tuason ay isa sa 193 delegates sa drafting of Malolos Constitution nuong 1899. Isa siya sa 3 delegado ng Bataan. Ang zarzuela (musical play) ay itinanghal sa Sampaloc at Zorilla Theater at ang unang pangunahin aktor na gumanap ay isang nagngangalan na Buencamino.

Jose Tuason was my great grandfather. I’ve had in my possession at one time (mid-1960s) the original handwritten manuscript of “Siniphayo Ng Dahas Ng Pagsinta” when I wrote a paper about Magtanim as a U.P. student. When I was young, my family used to visit the Valeros (I remember Tia Lily). I’ve lived in the U.S. for decades (Denver, CO), but on one of my visits to the Philippines, I contacted Heidi de Ocampo (you must know her) to talk about out how we publicize the real story of Magtanim. You must be a Tuason relative. I would love to communicate with you further on this. At least to find out how we are related, if, in fact we are. My family calls me Pepita, short for Josefina. My grandmother told me I was named after Jose Tuason.
