Jessica Caloza is Democratic member of the California State Assembly, representing the 52nd District.
She was sworn into office in December 2024.
Caloza is a first-generation immigrant who previously served as a Los Angeles Public Works Commissioner and a policy advisor in the Obama Administration’s U.S. Department of Education.
Her legislative focus includes lowering the cost of living, building more affordable housing, investing in public education, and protecting a woman’s right to choose.
