Gituldok is a punctuation mark that is known in English as a middle dot (·), middot, midpoint or interpunct. It is often used in breaking up the syllables in a word that’s an entry in a dictionary.
For example: pa·ra·í·so
Gituldok has also been used as the “native” Tagalog translation for the English term “midpoint” that is used in geometry.
