Disoriented (1999) is a comedy film about a Filipino-American boy coming of age and his confused family coming to grips with their American dreams. Of the “Gener-Asian X” school of film, this movie is considered the first movie about Filipino-Americans. The director is Francisco Aliwalas.

The Debut (2001) is a Filipino-American movie starring Dante Basco, Eddie Garcia, Tirso Cruz III, Gina Alajar, Darion Basco, Bernadette Balagtas, Joy Bisco, Brandon Martin & Conrad Cimarra. Directed by: Gene Cajayon. DVD release date: 2003.

American Adobo (2001) stars Christopher de Leon, Ricky Davao, Dina Bonnevie, Cherrie Pie Picache & Paolo Montalban; directed by Laurice Guillen. Filipino college friends now living in New York regularly get together to talk over adobo, what is considered the national Filipino dish.
