Talambuhay ni Jose Maria Basa

Jose Maria Basa (1839–1911) is better known as a patriot and a friend of Filipino national hero Jose Rizal.  He was born in Manila but in 1872 was accused of treason by the Spanish authorities and exiled to Hong Kong. It was there where his home became a meeting place for Filipino revolutionaries overseas. He died there and after a few years his remains were brought back to Manila and buried in the North Cemetery.
