Asian online store provides more options for buying Filipino food.
First, there’s our affiliate and everyone’s trustworthy store Amazon, which unknown to many Pinoys, has tons of Filipino food and grocery items, and of course is the safest e-commerce site around.
And now H-Mart, a well-regarded chain of Asian stores with an online shop, is carrying more and more items from the Philippines.
M.Y. San SkyFlakes Crackers 7.99
Skyflakes
Container’s net weight: 1 pound and 14 ounces (850 grams)

HMart also carries in the freezer section of their stores the “AlDub” mellorine flavor Avocado Macchiato.
Check items if they either have “Country of Origin: Philippines” on their listings or were made by Philippine companies in the United States using recipe formulations that are the same as what’s used in the home country, so they taste the same.
This is important because there are OMGpeke companies in the United States that use Philippine brand names to dupe Fil-Americans into thinking they’re the same, even though they’re not the same and they use different recipes and processes. When you call out the USA companies about not being Filipino, they say but even that Filipino company has to process their product stateside under the law. Yes, but the genuine company has the same proprietary recipe as what they use in the Philippines, so they taste the same. And it’s the original Philippine company, not some USA company that STOLE the Filipino brand and logo in order to trick Fil-Americans!
We’ll be adding more to this list as soon as we come across other Filipino items in the Hmart catalog.
What’s really cool though is that young to middle-aged Filipino-Americans in the United States are known for being huge fans of Korean pop culture… So they can get their Pepero as well as their Skyflakes in one order! You can even buy Japanese snacks like Pocky in Banana Cream and other non-ordinary flavors… Though we can do that too on Amazon as well. 🙂
Remember… Personal health first. Don’t dare feed yourself or your family expired food. Second, don’t risk your financial information on dodgy online grocery stores.
We vouch only for Amazon and Hmart.
Filipino stores offer more than just food and grocery items. They offer the comfort of home. It means so much to Filipinos to be able to find familiar foodstuff to snack on and the ingredients to make a dish we all remember from our time in the Philippines.
Asian-American supermarket chain H Mart has expanded on-demand delivery service through a partnership with Shipt.
Birmingham, Ala.-based Shipt, a subsidiary of Target Corp., said H Mart will provide same-day grocery delivery from H Mart stores in 12 states starting this month. The rollout will give more than 10 million households online shopping access to a range of classic and unique Korean-American products available for delivery.
Shipt service will be offered through H Mart stores in selected metropolitan areas in California, Virginia, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Texas.
“H Mart is excited to bring top-quality Asian groceries to Shipt customers,” H Mart President Brian Kwon said in a statement. “I hope our fresh, delicious and healthy food will bring much joy and many smiles to our customers, families and friends.”
Shipt marks H Mart’s second e-commerce partner for same-day grocery delivery. The retailer first partnered with Instacart in March 2016 and then expanded Instacart service chainwide in June 2019.
H Mart operates more than 90 stores in 14 states. Its stores offer both traditional Asian and American groceries, including fresh produce, meat, poultry, seafood and ready-to-cook items.
To place orders via Shipt, H Mart customers shop for groceries at the retailer’s page on the Shipt.com online marketplace or via the Shipt mobile app. Orders are picked, packed and delivered by Shipt personal shoppers in the designated time window. As added safety measure during the COVID-19 pandemice, the personal shoppers are encouraged to leave orders at the door to provide contactless delivery, Shipt noted.
In support of the launch, Shipt is offering H Mart customers $50 off the annual membership, regularly priced at $99, if they enroll in the service by Oct. 22. A yearly membership provides unlimited free deliveries on orders of $35 or more. Shipt also recently began offering a pay-per-delivery option, call Shipt Pass. Customers can get a Shipt Pass for a fee of $10 for one online delivery order, $9 for three orders or $8 for five orders.
“We’re thrilled to now be offering our same-day delivery services from H Mart to give our customers convenient access to all the fresh and specialty products they love,” stated Joe Manning, chief business officer at Shipt. “Whether our customers are looking to try a new recipe or just need the necessities, this partnership will give them the option to get a variety of ingredients, grocery needs and more in a safe and efficient manner.”
