The Filipino word for “gold” is ginto.

This is plainly wrong and misleading . The word “ginto” is not indigenous at all, but Hokkien Chinese. And “balitok” does appear in the Vocabulario de la Lengua de la Tagala as the original and older Tagalog word for gold.
