Kahimunan is a Lumad term which means “gathering.”

The Kahimonan Abayan Festival is held in Butuan City every July to honor Santa Ana or Saint Anne who known to guide the townspeople against the man-eating crocodiles in the Agusan River. It features a fluvial parade of boats with the natives in prayer and thanksgiving.
