Notes:

The second version of the sentences above is more common is conversation.
For example:

Sila ay mga Amerikano. (grammatically correct, but stilted)
Mga Amerikano sila. (grammatically correct and sounds colloquial)



Also, phrases are usually shortened like this:

Ako ay = Ako'y
I am = I'm

Siya ay = Siya'y
He is = He's
She is = She's

Tayo ay = Tayo'y
We are = We're
