Listen to How to...

Ask for a Kiss in Tagalog

Pahingi ng kiss.
I'd like a kiss.

Halikan mo ako!
Kiss me!

Isang kiss lang...
Just one kiss...

Sa pisngi.
On the cheek.

Sa labi.
On the lips.

The Tagalog word for "kiss" is halik, but many Filipinos prefer to use the English
for the noun form. For example, saying Pahingi ng kiss. (I'd like a kiss.) is very
common, but Pahingi ng halik. is not.

For the verb form, halik is preferred.
That's why you should say Halikan mo ako! ("Kiss me!").

Pahalik.
Let me have a kiss.

Pahalik sa labi.
Let me have a kiss on the lips.

Ang lambot ng labi mo.
Your lips are soft.

Gusto kitang halikan.
I want to kiss you.

Bakit ayaw mo akong halikan?
Why don't you want to kiss me?

Nagsepilyo ka ba?
Did you brush your teeth?

Hinalikan mo ba siya?
Did you kiss him/her?

Huwag mo siyang halikan.
Don't kiss him/her.

Huwag na huwag mo siyang halikan.
Really, don't kiss him/her.

Bakit mo siya hinalikan?
Why did you kiss him/her?
